Two-party system not working
It is apparent to most people in this country that the present two-party political system is no longer effective in dealing with the critical issues that we are facing. Years of indecision and constant gridlock by Democrats and Republicans alike has contributed to almost no progress in dealing with our financial woes.
If real progress is to be made, the voters in this country must send a strong message by electing third party candidates to the Senate and House of Representatives, thus eliminating the power struggle between Democrats and Republicans.
Until this happens, I’m afraid that we are going to continue down the current path to economic disaster. It is time we elect leaders who are not afraid to make the tough decisions — Democrats, Republicans and qualified third-party candidates. If voters in this country want to see real change, isn’t it about time?
