HEHS has packed Homecoming Week, Oct. 1-9
Hoffman Estates High School has the following festivities planned for Homecoming 2010:
• The Homecoming Kick-Off Assembly will begin at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 in the school's main gymnasium, 1100 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.
• Club Clash, an annual evening of nonathletic contests in a relay format, begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5. Thirty student teams will participate in an evening of spirited, competitive, team-building activities.
• Carts on Parade will be held twice: first at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 in the stadium, just before the Powder Puff football game; then again on Friday, Oct. 8 before the varsity football game which begins at 7:30 p.m. A Scion car, customized by the HEHS Autos Club, will lead 25 golf carts decorated by student clubs and activities.
• The Powder Puff football game will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, in Garber Stadium. This annual game pits a junior girls team against a senior girls team, both teams coached by faculty members. Pre-game and half-time entertainment will be provided by the Pom-Pon Squad, Flag Team and Cheerleaders.
• The Homecoming Coronation will take place in the school's main gymnasium at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8.
• "Candyland," the Homecoming Dance, will be held 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in the school's gymnasium. The student decorating committee will begin work Saturday morning.
