Info session on studying abroad set for Saturday
AFS, a student cultural exchange program, is hosting an informational session from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at Borders, 1660 S. Randall Road in Geneva.
Full-ride scholarships available to qualified students. Whether you're seriously considering going abroad or just curious, attend an AFS Info Night to learn all about studying abroad. Ask your parents and friends to come, too.
There's still time to study abroad for a summer, semester, or year. With more than 140 programs in 40 countries around the world, volunteers can help you find the program that's right for you. Building bridges of intercultural understanding is what it is all about. Learn how extraordinary the ordinary can be when you live and go to school in another country.
Attending the event will help get the answers to the questions that you and your parents have, including: Where in the world can I go? Will studying abroad give me an advantage with college admissions? Are there scholarships available? Can I do community service abroad? If my parents have questions, where can we get answers?
