Hearings on terrorism threat are needed

Republican Congressman Peter King has started hearings to explore the seriousness of the homegrown Islamic terror threat in America. The Democrats, extreme left, and media are demonizing Congressman King as the new “Joe McCarthy” of our times, a racist, and a xenophobe for exploring what the facts say is a major threat to our safety.

Never mind that Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano called homegrown Islamic terrorists our greatest and most difficult threat to defend against. Democrats, liberals, and most of the media place a higher priority on “political correctness” than the safety and security of Americans.

Since 9/11, there have been 50 known cases of homegrown terrorist plots against America involving 130 people. Of those 130 people, 128 were self-described Muslims. That means that 98.5% of known homegrown terrorists since 9/11 are self proclaimed Muslim extremists.

As Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, Congressman King would have been guilty of gross negligence if he had not called these meetings! Enough is enough. It is time to condemn these adolescent and naive liberals that cannot face the facts and put American’s lives at risk.

Most American Muslims are good people. But a real and dangerous minority of American Muslims make up 98.5% of the homegrown terrorist threat in America. To those that are condemning Congressman King’s honest attempt to get the facts, I say grow up and get real or get the hell out of the way as the adults in our country try to protect us.
