Bollywood fitness class offered at Wheeling Park District
The movie “Slumdog Millionaire” inspired millions to move to the Bollywood beat. Now you can, too.
The Wheeling Park District will offer a new way to exercise, have fun and experience the sound and dance of Indian culture. Try the Bollywood Group Fitness class, led by trained Bollywood and Indian classical dancer Shivani, for free from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Wheeling Park District Community Recreation Center.
Preregistration is not required for this or any other Group Fitness Class. Wear comfortable clothing; shoes and socks are optional. If you decide Bollywood is for you, or you wish to participate in the many other Group Fitness Classes, such as Spin, Aquafit, BodyPump, Zumba, Step, Kickboxing and more, purchase a Class Pass at the Guest Service Desk. Bollywood dance is a commercial name for a modern Indian style combining classical Indian dance, which is the base, and folk dancing with some Latino and Arabic influences.
Designed for all levels and ages, Bollywood allows you to express what the music means through the graceful movements of the body.
