Lineup set for Aurora’s Blues on the Fox

Musicians Buddy Guy and Robert Cray will be among the featured performers when Blues on the Fox celebrates its 15th anniversary this summer in downtown Aurora.

This year’s festival, part of the Downtown Alive! series, takes place June 17 and 18 at North River Street Park on the banks of the Fox River, just west of the Hollywood Casino. It’s presented by Paramount Theatre in cooperation with Hollywood Casino and the city.

The $5 daily entry fee will cover the cost of admission and a wristband for consumption of alcohol at the festival.

Other performers include Eric Lindell, The Hix Brothers Junior All-Stars, Billy Branch and the Sons Of Blues, Kenny Neal and Charlie Musselwhite.

Each year Blues on the Fox celebrates the history of the RCA Bluebird recordings that were made in the 1930s at the Leland Hotel (now Fox Island Place) in downtown Aurora.
