Health briefs: Therapy camp for teens
• Linden Oaks at Edward is offering Camp Success Winter Break 2011 for teens 12 to 17 to learn skills to cope with bullying, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression.
The camp, which will be led by mental health professionals and licensed therapists, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 26-30 on the campus of Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St., Naperville.
Teens will learn how to build relationships, social skills and express emotions during activities such as yoga, Zumba, a mall scavenger hunt, carnival, live music, roller skating, rock climbing, team building and expressive arts.

• First Health is offering a free educational clinic about the issue of thyroid gland health at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Continental Athletic Club, 1701 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows. It is estimated that 59 million Americans have problems with their thyroid glands that often are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed.
