Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Our sales tax rate is just right. Our citizens recently authorized a small increase in the local sales tax. Even after that increase, our sales tax rate is still below that of the other area communities. I want our sales tax rate to always be low in order to best benefit our residents.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.Within my term of office, we will be re-negotiating our police contract. I want to carefully analyze all ramifications of that contract, including alternatives, to insure that our decisions are in the best interests of our citizens.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. As a Trustee, I will be a careful steward of that money. After improving all our roads up to standards, I will strive to build financial reserves for our Village's future.
