Naperville mayor on theater's Wall of Fame
Fair Lady Productions put Naperville Mayor George Pradel center stage Wednesday.
The group awarded the gregarious mayor the first star on the Wall of Fame at its new theater. The space eventually will house Kidz Kabaret shows in addition to other theater groups, community organizations and businesses.
"This is awesome," Pradel said. "It makes me feel good that kids know I'm happy for their development of life through the arts at Kidz Kabaret."
Fair Lady Productions has dubbed its new digs Centre Stage Theatre. It is being constructed in a 9,000-square-foot space at 1665 Quincy Ave. in Naperville and will be a 180-seat venue with a small rehearsal space, makeup and costume rooms and storefront.
There will be a groundbreaking ceremony for the theater on Feb. 12 and an official grand opening in June.
Fair Lady Productions is selling stars for both its Wall of Fame and Walk of Fame to help raise money for the project. Businesses and community members alike can purchase stars by calling (630) 355-9212.
