Rosary wins 5th straight
Rosary senior Breann Maryanski made her final home game a memorable one, scoring 30 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the Royals' 59-36 victory Tuesday over Plainfield Central.
The Royals (11-14) won their fifth straight game. They nearly doubled their offensive output from a 31-21 win over Immaculate Conception Monday.
Rachel Rivera added 11 points, Brittney Hutchinson scored 7 and Brenda Rocha had 4 points and 5 assists.
Westmont 30, Aurora Christian 29: The Eagles' season came to an end in the semifinals of the Class 2A Lisle regional Tuesday night.
Alyssa Henzel (11 points, 5 rebounds), Mackenzie Bollinger (8 points, 15 rebounds, 5 steals) and Emily Magee (5 points) led Aurora Christian. The Eagles led 12-6 after the first quarter before Westmont tied the game at 19 at halftime, and the second half was tight throughout.
St. Charles East 48, Dundee-Crown 42: The Saints (10-15) won their second game in as many nights and fourth in their last five games.
Paige Jordan and Morgan Vyzral led the Saints with 11 points each and Chanel Stephens scored 9.
