Rolling Meadows clears sidewalks

Rolling Meadows Public Works crews were cleaning sidewalks in the downtown area and on routes to schools Thursday, said Barry Krumstok, acting city manager.

Staff also was keeping an eye on intersections with state and county roads to be sure they were clear as crews from those governments continued to remove snow from the roadways.

The costs of snow removal are covered by the city’s budget, Krumstok said, but the city would be happy if federal disaster funding comes through to help fund the expenses.
