Once again, equal treatment for all

I don't know Mr. Donald Cavi of Rolling Meadows, but I sure would like to shake his hand and let him know that I, for one, certainly agree with his suggestion about passing a 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (Fence Post, Jan. 27). He suggests it would say: “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the U.S. that exempts or does not apply equally to the President, Vice President and Senators and Representatives in the Congress; and Congress shall make no law that applies to the President, Vice President and Senators and Representatives in the Congress, that does not apply equally, without exception, to the citizens of the United States.”

If Mr. Cavi ever runs for office, he would have my vote.
