Lombard prohibits chain-link fences

Chain-link fences are no longer allowed in Lombard front yards.

The village board amended the zoning code in late January and prohibited chain-link fences to avoid negative visual appearances in the area most in the public line of sight.

The village is reviewing other residential development standards as well to ensure aesthetics are considered.
