Problem is, lawyers are in charge
Have you ever wondered who is running (ruining) America? Is it our policy makers? The politicians locally and in Washington? What group of people have the most influence on the decisions that are being set forth on behalf of the people of this country? Is it those policy makers and/or the politicians elected by the people who decide what is best for the country? Almost everyone would agree that they are the ones elected to do so. So that is who we need to focus on who makes up that group of policy makers.
Would you be surprised to learn that one in every 200 adults are these same people? That they make up 82 percent of our government? That they make up 100 percent of the executive branch of our government; 100 percent of the judicial branch, our Supreme Court? They comprise 46 percent of the House and Senate.
By now you have answered the question as to who is running our country — lawyers!
One would say that is a good thing to have lawyers looking out for the good of the people. But is that how it really is? In every group you have the good, the bad, and in some cases, the truly ugly. You have the good lawyer who is looking out to protect the Constitution. Those that display common sense in addressing problems of the day. Lawyers who are for smaller government. (Again I refer to those who want to protect and defend our Constitution).
On the other side of the ledger you have lawyers that are out to destroy the Constitution. Lawyers that are not interested in your well being but are looking for the next lawsuit in order to enrich themselves. We have become a suit happy nation.
Why has America become, or soon will be, a second rate country?
Communities are dying before our eyes. Businesses are leaving our country because, as a nation, we are over regulated. Whenever a politician is elected to Washington one of the first things they do is get their name on a new bit of legislation for name recognition. If it is for specific cause, all the better.
How do lawyers look at the situation before them? Usually from a lawyer’s training — that there is no right or wrong, but what is legal or illegal. Which in principal is great but it doesn’t always benefit the people.
So the next time someone asks who is running the country? Step back and ask yourself, who do you think is in charge?
