I feel that we should not be staring into the apartments located at route 62 and 31. Everyone I've spoken to disliked the idea and yet it was planned anyway. Now it is in disrepair and a complete eyesore.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?The ability to listen to what people want and need. I believe people aren't being listened to enough. As trustee we need to find out what people see as problems or concerns and then act on them.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I believe we should lower local taxes and spend more wisely with the money we do have.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.The biggest is traffic. People see the traffic as overwhelming. Many plans are out there but none are being acted on. Let's get started with the Western Bypass then look again closely at the issue. Bunker Hill is almost as bad. We need to also look at adding a bypass from Randall to Square Barn from the Walmart area on County Line Rd.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I believe we are spending too much money on roads being overhauled to add curbs and sidewalks while our current roads are in horrible condition. The corner of 31 and 62, plus Edgewood Rd. come to mind as being the worst.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to turn the beach at the end of Beach Drive into a community Dog Park. With little upkeep and small changes it could be an excellent addition
