Des Plaines-area woman found fatally stabbed

A 45-year-old woman was found stabbed to death inside a Des Plaines-area mobile home Monday morning, officials confirmed.

Alicia Ramirez was found inside her home on the 400 block of West Touhy in unincorporated Cook County, according to a Cook County medical examiner’s office spokesman.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene just north of O’Hare International Airport at 10:15 a.m., the spokesman said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

A spokesman with the Cook County sheriff’s police confirmed the office was conducting a death investigation but could not provide any further details.
