Zion man injured in Grayslake crash

A Zion man was injured when his vehicle struck a tree Wednesday afternoon in Grayslake.

The man was driving a Cadillac sedan west on Washington Street near the intersection of Atkinson Road when his car glanced off another vehicle and struck a tree about 4 p.m.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville with non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.

Washington Street was closed to one lane while emergency crews responded to the crash. The car sustained “heavy damage,” officials said.
