The skinny: As the Huskies head through the second half of the MAC schedule, they’re experiencing a changing of their guards. Quarterback-turned-point guard DeMarcus Grady, who didn’t score his first collegiate point until Feb. 2, has given NIU a point guard who can shoot. He produced 9 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes Saturday at Ohio and could play more minutes tonight. Meanwhile, redshirt freshman Antone Christian has averaged 11.8 points in NIU’s last five games. That includes his career-high 17 Saturday at Ohio as he now plays 30 minutes per game. Miami coach Charlie Coles guns for his 250th win as the RedHawks coach tonight. Junior forward Julian Mavunga (14 ppg, 7 rpg) leads the way for a squad that just lost senior Antonio Ballard (12.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg) for the year to a wrist injury.
