Broken tax promise is flabbergasting

Gov. Pat Quinn’s recent income tax increase is further proof that his true agenda does not attune to his promises during campaign season. While it’s naive to believe that any politician keeps all or any of their promises, it is flabbergasting to learn that Quinn is going back on his word for this specific issue in these trying times of austerity.

While state Rep. Matt Murphy’s efforts may seem to be in vain, they are the only evidence of true American values and the last shred of hope that our state government hasn’t “achieved” a complete socialist regime — yet.
