Time to end filibuster

Our constitution says that each House may determine the rules of its proceedings. The start of every new session is the best time to do this. Rules should be set before any game begins.

Are we aware that senators blocking debate on legislation do not have to hold the floor or even show up to carry out their filibusters?

As of now, Senate rules give a single senator the power to require 30 hours of debate on a nomination after that nominee has already received enough votes to be confirmed.

Through 1970 the Senate averaged about one filibuster per year: In the past two sessions they have used this tactic roughly 70 times per year.

It is time to change the rules. Call your representative to vote to end the filibuster.
