Three injured in Port Barrington crash
Three people were injured Tuesday evening during a two-vehicle crash in Port Barrington, according to police.
A 19-year-old Huntley woman was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier with four passengers when she turned in front of a Jeep, according to authorities. The Cavalier was headed north on Roberts Road and attempted to turn left at the intersection of Rawson Bridge Road when the southbound Jeep struck the vehicle.
Two passengers in the Cavalier and the driver of the Jeep were taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Lake Barrington with minor injuries, according to authorities.
Traffic was diverted around the crash, but there were no road closures. The driver of the Cavalier was issued a citation for failure to yield.
