Forecast Lake County

The Lake County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Forecast Lake County” luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort.

The event provides Lake County’s business and government leaders a chance to examine and explore the issues, challenges and opportunities in 2011.

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“Our members and all businesses in Lake County are interested in the issues and challenges we face, that’s why this annual event is eagerly anticipated by attendees,” said board Chairman Horacio Lopez.

William Strauss, senior economist and economic adviser in the economy research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will once again be featured as the keynote speaker.

Presentations also will be made by several key Lake County leaders, including David Stolman, newly elected Lake County Board president; Maureen Riedy, president of the Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau; and William Whitmer, vice president of economic development for Lake County Partners.

Seating is limited and reservations are required by Jan. 18. Chamber members pay $50, and the cost for nonmembers is $75. Online registration is available at events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=udfp44bab&oeidk=a07e358v482fc32b1b1, or contact the chamber office at (847) 249-3800.
