Styx to perform at Naperville's Ribfest
Styx will be one of the featured bands this July when the Naperville Exchange Club's Ribfest celebration returns to Knoch Park in Naperville.
The band was spawned in a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s and emerged as an arena rock group in the latter part of that decade. The band, which now consists of Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips, has continued to tour regularly.
Styx will perform some of its greatest hits July 2 during Ribfest, a four-day celebration that includes family activities, 16 rib vendors from across the country and music on two stages. All proceeds go to combat child abuse and domestic violence.
