Scouting: Detroit at Loyola

Detroit (8-7, 2-1) at Loyola (10-5, 1-3)

When: 7 p.m. at Gentile Center

The skinny: According to Ken Pomeroy's computerized projections, the Ramblers' 83-53 win on New Year's Day at Youngstown State kick-started a seven-game winning streak. Loyola, obviously, would love to get on a roll and jump back into the Horizon League race, but it should be noted that most of the games are projected to come down to a possession or two. The Ramblers' first home game since Dec. 11 certainly won't be a gimme as Detroit boasts talent. Freshman stud Ray McCallum, the son of the head coach, leads the way with 15.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Indiana transfer Eli Holman (12.3 ppg, 11.1 rpg) ranks among the national rebounding leaders.
