Elk Grove man’s Oscar picks win him year of movies
Dick Elkins of Elk Grove Village knows his movies.
Elkins won this year’s “Predict the Oscars” contest at the Elk Grove Theatre, 1050 Arlington Heights Road. He won a one-year movie pass and a pair of tickets to Brookfield Zoo.
To win, Elkins had to first correctly predict the Oscar winners of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Film.
Elkins’ name was then drawn at random from all the correct ballots submitted at the Elk Grove Theatre.
This year, 5,605 ballots were cast at 13 Classic Cinemas theaters.
