Saints’ Stephens receives Purdue offer
St. Charles East sophomore basketball player Kendall Stephens received his fourth Big Ten scholarship offer Saturday when he visited Purdue, according to his high school coach Brian Clodi.
Stephens’ father Everette played at Purdue from 1984-88.
Stephens, already with offers from Northwestern, Wisconsin, Illinois in addition to DePaul, said last week that he plans on making his decision either this summer or early in his junior year.
Stephens, a 6-foot-3 guard, is averaging 16.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals a game for the Saints (9-10, 5-2) with 51 3-pointers. He’s shooting 42 percent from the field and 74 percent at the line.
