Blame ourselves for China's rise

Many thanks to columnist Froma Harrop for saying what had to be said.

China knew they would never defeat us in an armed confrontation, so instead they have defeated us through the back door of economics.

Bit by bit, company by company, the Chinese are taking over this great country's businesses and livelihoods. We have no one to blame but ourselves — our own greed and self-centered, devil-take-the-hindmost disregard for the commonweal. As Ms. Harrop said, it is sad.
