Tetschlag leads No. 23 UWGB past Loyola

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Kayla Tetschlag scored 25 points as No. 23 Wisconsin-Green Bay cruised to a 72-51 victory over Loyola of Chicago 72-51 on Wednesday night.

Green Bay (16-1, 5-0 Horizon League) used a 16-2 run at the beginning of the second half to pull away for its seventh straight win. Lydia Bauer added 12 points for the Phoenix.

Brittany Boeke scored 14 points to lead Loyola (8-7, 2-2). Ramblers leading scorer Monica Albano was held to just five points on 1-for-9 shooting.

The Phoenix, playing without guard Adrian Ritchie, got off to a choppy start. Green Bay shot just 3 for 13 (23.1 percent) from 3-point range and didn't attempt a free throw in the first half.

Loyola held a brief 16-14 lead as the Phoenix struggled to a 29-28 edge at the break.
