Liberty Tax Service is holding food drives
Daily Herald report
Liberty Tax Service’s “Mascots for Meals” food drive ends Saturday, Jan. 29. The next roadside party will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29. It will be a celebration of all food donations collected from the community. In exchange for your donation, Liberty Tax will present you with a discount voucher for all tax preparation service.
Their goal is to collect 1,040 food items to coincide with the 1040 Tax form used in the tax industry. Each Liberty Tax Service location will be donating to its local food pantry and, as a result, seven local pantries will have more food to feed the less fortunate.
These food pantries are: Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry, 600 E. Oak St. in Lake in the Hills, (847) 854-1904; Elgin Wayside Center, 1732 Berkley St., Elgin, (847) 695-4657; Woodstock Food Pantry, 226 Washington St., Unit B, Woodstock, (815) 337-0375; Cary-Grove Food Pantry in St. Barnabas Church, 8901 Cary-Algonquin Road, Cary, (847) 516-3602; FISH Food Pantry, 150 S.
