No one injured in early Friday fire on Sixth St.
A garage fire early Friday morning in St. Charles caused about $35,000 damage, and no one was injured, according to the fire department.
The fire, at 202 S. Sixth St., was discovered almost simultaneously by a neighbor and a newspaper delivery person, according to Fire Chief Joe Schelstreet.
The fire department responded at 5:20 a.m. to find a two-car garage fully involved, along with two vehicles in the driveway, Schelstreet said.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Schelstreet said.
