Drop off old holiday lights

Mundelein is partnering with Elgin Recycling, Inc., for a free holiday light recycling program, which runs through Jan. 31. From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., old holiday lights can be brought to: the village hall, 440 E. Hawley St.; public works facility, 440 E. Crystal St.; Fire Station #1, 1000 N. Midlothian Road; or Fire Station #2, 1300 S. Lake St. Only the light strands themselves will be taken; bulbs do not have to be removed from the strands.
