Palatine manager in a class by himself

I have lived in Palatine for 40 years and during that time have had dealings with all of the village managers who held that position since I arrived.

I think Reid Ottesen is undoubtedly the best and most professional village manager that Palatine has had and our village is fortunate to have him serving our community.

I am also a strong supporter of the tea party movement. However, I am very disappointed that their recent disclosures about Mr. Ottesen's compensation are not accurate.

While the goal of transparency is admirable, distortions of facts are counterproductive and weaken the tea party's credibility.
