Search on for missing, endangered 17-year-old from near Mundelein

The Lake County sheriff's office has put out a call to the public to help find a missing 17-year-old girl from the Mundelein area who is believed to be in danger.

Elizabeth C. Bocaniciu was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Monday at a friend's home on the 1300 block of North Whitewater Lane in Palatine, according to a news release issued by the sheriff's office Friday afternoon.

Bocaniciu may be in the Lemont area and in the company of a missing 17-year-old from Chicago. Bocaniciu and the other missing girl recently dyed their hair blue. Bocaniciu is described as being around 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. She has hazel eyes, and her natural hair color is brown.

Anyone with information about Bocaniciu's whereabouts should call 911.
