One injured in Palatine crash

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Palatine Wednesday evening that left lanes closed late into the night.

Police said Palatine Road was at least partially closed just west of Route 53 after the accident occurred about 7:30 p.m.

One person was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, but the seriousness of the injuries was not known late Wednesday.

The accident recreation team was still on the scene as of 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
