It really is about class
President Obama is fond of saying his eagerness to raise taxes on the rich is not about class warfare, “it’s about the math.” If that is so, why, in the current run-up to the fiscal cliff, does he insist in every public pronouncement he makes on the subject that he wants to increase taxes on “the rich” (the upper class), to protect the middle class, and help the poor (the lower class)?
