Scouting the Galaxy: The Galaxy (2-1-3, 9 points) will be without some of its star power. David Beckham picked up his fifth yellow card Wednesday and will be suspended, the second straight year he will miss seeing Toyota Park because of suspension. Juninho and Jovan Kirovski also are suspended. Landon Donovan has missed the past two games because of a knee injury but hopes to play.

Scouting the Fire: The Fire (1-1-2, 4 points) hopes to rebound from 2 road losses. Forward Diego Chaves wants to get back on the scoresheet after scoring in each of the first three games. The Fire needs central defender Josip Mikulic to return from a quadriceps injury.

Next game: Houston, Saturday at Toyota Park.
