Compromise is a two-way street

In response to Ken Glassman’s letter publised Nov. 16, why does he feel that compromise must be a one-way street? After all, 49 percent of the people voting in this last election felt that goverment is headed in the wrong direction. Why can’t both sides compromise? Maybe same give and take will bring us all together.
