Barrington conservation group conducts an owl prowl
Young people can hike through the Flint Creek Savanna looking for and learning about owls, followed by hot chocolate and a craft in the Citizens For Conservation farmhouse from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at CFC headquarters, 459 W. Route 22, Lake Barrington. The event is for ages 5 and older; caregivers must attend. Dress for the weather, bring a flashlight. Free for CFC members; nonmembers pay $5 for the first child and $1 for each additional child. Register at citizensforconservation.org/youth-education or call (847) 382-7283.
