Learn about wells and septic systems

Are you a homeowner with a well and or septic system? Have you ever wondered how these systems work? Do you know what maintenance has to be performed so that they function properly? Do you know what type of septic system you have?

For the answers to these questions and more, come to the annual Kane County Health Department Well and Septic informational meeting to be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Kane County University of Illinois Extension office, 535 S. Randall Road, St. Charles. Check-in and display viewing is from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m.

Attendance is free, but space can be limited so it is advised to register in advance. If you would like to attend, register by calling the office at (630) 444-3040. If you must leave a voice mail, give your name, address, and phone number before Sept. 14.

Water well test kits will be provided to attendees at no charge. In active partnership with our community, the Kane County Health Department improves the quality of life and well-being of all residents by developing and implementing local policies, systems and services that protect and promote health, and prevent disease, injury and disability.
