Oktoberfest coming to Lake Villa

The American Aid Society and Chicago Kickers Soccer Club hold their 13th annual Oktoberfest Sept. 22, 29 and Oct. 6 at the German Cultural Center in Lake Villa.

The cultural center is at 259 W. Grand Ave., across from Cedar Lake.

The event features food and musical entertainment. Admission is $8 and parking is free. Picnic grounds open at 6:30 p.m. each day.

Performances include:

Ÿ Saturday, Sept. 22: The Austrian Express from Milwaukee and the Rheinischer Verein Fanfaren Drum and Bugel Corps from Chicago.

Ÿ Saturday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Oct 6: The Phenix band and the American Aid Society’s Youth Group Dancers will perform a variety of contemporary and folk dances.
