The simple differences between the parties

So I finished watching both of the big political conventions, and I think I can now summarize the choice before us.

The Democrats stand for big government, higher taxes, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, more spending, higher deficits and a nanny-state kind of government. The Republicans are more for smaller government, lower taxes, pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, lower spending, lower deficits and self-reliance kind of government.
