Chicago Botanic Garden

•Plant giveaways, Wednesdays through Sundays, through Oct. 3 in Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden. •Roadside Flower Sale Workshops, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 31-Sept. 3, Learn how to make dried plant arrangements; arrangements created are the property of the Chicago Botanic Garden and will be sold at the Roadside Flower Sale. Register by calling (847) 835-8392.

•Illinois Mycological Association show and sale, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sept. 5. Celebrate the richness of fall mushrooms in Illinois with an exhibit of up to 100 varieties from area forests.

•Northeastern Illinois Rose Society show and sale, noon-4:30 p.m. Sept. 5.

Frank Lloyd Wright volunteers needed

The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust is seeking volunteers to assist at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park. A two-week fall volunteer training course will begin in September.
