2 in custody after shots fired at Normal school
NORMAL — Authorities in central Illinois say police have taken two people into custody at Normal Community High School after gun shots were fired into a ceiling inside the school. No one was injured.
School officials locked down the campus immediately after Friday morning’s incident.
Students later were taken to a nearby church, and they’re now being dismissed.
In a message on its website, school officials say more information will be available later.
