Balance, big finish lift Christian Liberty

Balanced scoring and rebounding and a big finish propelled Christian Liberty to a 53-48 nonconference boys basketball victory over visiting Elgin Academy on Wednesday night at Grace Gym in Arlington Heights.

Luke Comerouski led the way with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the Chargers (6-10), who trailed 33-25 at halftime and 41-35 entering the fourth quarter.

Mike Hennek (13 points, 9 rebounds), Ben Thomas (10 points, 9 rebounds) and Matt Litzenberger (8 points, 7 rebounds) helped Christian Liberty to its second win in its last seven games.
