Listen to people; shrink government
In the 2010 elections, we as individuals set out and voted for the people we felt would help turn things around in this country. It turned out that many of the people we selected were from the Republican party, thereby giving the House of Representatives a Republican majority. However, this was not enough to stop the spending, lower the deficit and shrink the government.
We are facing major gridlock, not because of the Republicans in the House of Representatives, but because of the ideology of a Democratic held Senate. It is my understanding that many bills from the House of Representatives have passed to help jump-start job growth but are sitting in limbo in the Senate.
We need to clean house in 2012 and do again what we set out to do in 2010. We need people in government, whether they be Republican or Democrat, to adhere to what we are saying as a people. No more Big government, amend the budget, lower the deficit, and create jobs by removing some of the regulations that are strangulating job growth. If we, as a people want to get this country back to prosperity, it will have to be by getting out and vote. America depends on us.
