FBI searching for man who robbed two suburban banks Wednesday

The FBI is searching for a man who may have robbed two suburban banks Wednesday afternoon within half an hour.

The suspect robbed the US Bank at 1301 Irving Park Road in Hanover Park about 1 p.m., authorities said. At 1:30 p.m., the same person apparently robbed the BMO Harris Bank at 94 N. Kennedy Drive in Carpentersville, authorities said.

Authorities described the suspect as a white man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and long hair possibly in a ponytail. He wore a baseball hat, gray zip-up sweatshirt and glasses, authorities said. He carried a large tan bag across his body.

According to the FBI, the man also may match the description of a person who robbed the BMO Harris Bank at 40 S. Barrington Road in South Barrington on Sept. 22, 2017.
