Immanual Lutheran teams honored in Palatine

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz and members of the village council recognized the accomplishments of the Immanuel Lutheran School’s Boys and Girls Cross Country teams at a village council meeting Monday, Dec. 5.

“Congratulations on yet another outstanding season,” said Schwantz. “Through hard work, poise and perseverance, you represented yourselves, Immanuel Lutheran School and the village of Palatine with great dignity and sportsmanship. We are proud of what you’ve accomplished.”

In October, the Immanuel Lutheran boys teams won both the 2011 Lutheran Sports Association state and national titles. The Lady Bobcats won the girls state title and finished national runner up.
