We'll call it 'ER: Miami'

'ER: Miami'Producer Jerry Bruckheimer tries to graft the adrenaline rush of his numerous action series onto the standard doctor drama with the debut of CBS' "Miami Medical" at 9 p.m. today on WBBM Channel 2. It follows "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium," but the Friday debut is not to be taken as a sign of confidence from CBS.What's the 'Point?'David Kaplan, the hardest-working man in Chicago sports, plays host to the new Comcast SportsNet Chicago interview show "The Point After" when it debuts at 9 p.m. today. Kap's first guest will be Blackhawk star Patrick Kane.Opening Day!Monday is Opening Day of the baseball season for our Chicago teams, but first CSNC runs one more replay of Mark Buehrle's perfect game from last year at 9 a.m., followed by the pregame for the White Sox' home opener at noon and the game at 1, with Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Steve Stone on the call. Hawk, by the way, will be honored with his own night June 8. Ed Farmer and Darrin Jackson do the radio on WSCR 670-AM. The Cubs open in Atlanta at 3 p.m. with Len Kasper and Bob Brenly on WCIU Channel 26 against competing coverage on ESPN. Pat Hughes and Ron Santo do the radio call on WGN 720-AM.Out of their 'League'How could anyone take literary figures like "The Invisible Man," Dorian Gray and "Dracula's" Mina Harker, add in Sean Connery, and yet come up with a movie dud? Don't ask me, but they managed the task in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (and one woman). Not even former TV "La Femme Nikita" Peta Wilson can save this garbage when it runs at 9:30 p.m. today on AMC.
