Grayslake students attend leadership workshop

Grayslake High School Students Attend the 2012 Illinois FBLA-PBL Summer Leadership Workshop

Students from Grayslake Central and North High Schools were among students from all over Illinois who took part in the annual Summer Leadership Workshop for Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda at the Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield, July 18-20. FBLA-PBL is dedicated to providing students with the skills necessary to lead them into the future.

Led by Patty Hendrickson, Certified Speaking Professional from La Crosse, Wis., and other speakers, students strengthened their leadership skills, practiced team building, and developed characteristics valuable in the world of work. Workshops included information on benefits of being an FBLA-PBL member, dress codes, public speaking, parliamentary procedures, etiquette, and preparing for competitive events.
