Chicago woman charged in Batavia stabbing

A Chicago woman has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, accused of stabbing another woman Thursday night in Batavia.

Cyrenthia Williams, 18, was being held at the Kane County jail. Bail information for Williams, of the 5100 block of West Concord Place, was not immediately available. She was expected to appear in bond court sometime Friday.

Batavia police say they were called at 7:39 p.m. to an apartment in the 1300 block of East Wilson Street. They found a 26-year-old victim, from Aurora, who had been stabbed during an argument. She was treated and released from Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

Williams also faces a charge of aggravated battery — causing bodily harm, according to police and court records.
